POSITION SUMMARY
AgVantis is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our Business Intelligence team. The team is focused on realizing the company data strategies in providing data services excellence, innovative service delivery, operational excellence, and data compliance and security to our Owner-Associations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for gathering requirements, designing, building, and testing data visualizations (reports, dashboards) that align data with business insights.  The data analyst supports Product Management by connecting customer processes and desired business insights with the underlying data model, ensuring that Product Management fully understands how data and technology can support customers.  A data analyst may also perform research and analysis and support Product Management in customer interactions to fully understand customer needs and maximize value delivered to the customer.
The Senior Data Analyst also gathers and analyzes requirements to be used by data architecture and data engineers to design and build pipelines to curate and process data models.  This includes an understanding of data mapping from a source to target model.  This role will work with key business stakeholders, data management and data governance teams.
Activities Include:

  • Collaborate with data teams to collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets.
  • Work with product management and business analyst teams to gather customer requirements to understand data needs and deliver insights that inform product strategy.
  • Support operations by providing analytics that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that track key metrics and performance indicators.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to address data-related challenges and opportunities.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing quality control measures.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
  • Participating in the Infrastructure Department efforts to ensure that the company applications and services meet regulatory compliance, security, and business continuity standards.
  • Performing other duties and assumes other responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field; or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a data analysis role.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching junior data analysts
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Basic understanding of UI/UX principles as it pertains to reporting
  • Experience working with data teams, product management, and operations.
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, best practices and procedures within the data visualization field
  • Experience in testing data visualizations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Regular attendance is required on this job, with the ability to work a full 8 hour day.
