POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Analyst (BA) will assess business processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and drive growth. They will gather business needs, work independently to support projects, and collaborate with the Product Manager, Product Coordinator, and IT partners to ensure accurate product requirements translation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Elicit current state processes and requirements utilizing a variety of techniques such as interviews, document analysis, workshops, site visits, business process descriptions, and task/workflow analysis to gather information about existing processes and business requirements.
2. Critically assess data gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and break down high-level information into detailed, actionable insights and next steps.
3. Develop and validate detailed functional and non-functional specifications, including business processes, GAP analysis, data, and interface requirements. Create demo and test scripts tailored to each project's unique needs.
4. Effectively challenge assumptions and requirements, ensuring alignment with overall product roadmap and strategy. 
5. Collaborate with IT teams to enable business transformation through the implementation of product enhancements.
6. Leverage strong analytical and product management skills to interpret customer needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
7. Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
8. Serve as a liaison between business units, technology teams, and support teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment across all parties.
9. Effectively manage and engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with product goals.

OTHER FUNCTIONS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education includes a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, business management, finance, computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years’ experience as a business analyst, systems analyst, or related experience. 
- Experience in working on initiatives in lending, servicing, and general accounting.
- Experience and knowledge in Agile methodology (SCRUM)
- Experience writing User Stories with Acceptance Criteria.
- Experience using Work Management Tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Experience in creating basic wireframes and mockups of reports based on requirements gathered from customers.
- Experience configuring software applications to deliver business outcomes.
- Strong relationship management skills.
- Skill in gathering, compiling, organizing, and analyzing information.
- Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner.
- Strong oral and written communication skills across all levels of the organization (peers, management, C-Suite leadership, and customers).
- Demonstrate ability to describe and demonstrate new and existing features to foster problem-solving and illustrate the value of the product.
- Knowledge of developing and facilitating user training and basic architecture of how digital applications are designed (UI vs back-end).
- Ability to communicate features to association leaders and employees and strong abilities to influence, keep team members engaged, and drive productive meetings.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, self-reliance, and a willingness to “roll up one’s sleeves” to understand details.
- Curiosity and a growth mindset.
- Moderate travel with overnight stays as required.  The need for travel will depend upon projects.
- Regular attendance is required on this job, with the ability to work a full 8-hour day.  Overtime as required to meet deadlines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with loan origination or loan accounting processes in the Farm Credit System or financial industry.
- Knowledge of the finance market, regulatory environment, and regulatory compliance pertaining to Farm Credit Associations (FCAs) and banking.
- Familiar with lending and credit underwriting functions.

- Policy manuals, procedures manuals, training manuals, computer equipment, calculator, telephone, printer, copy machine, projector, video equipment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
